Scatter volumetric effects

Hi,

not sure if this has cropped up before - but it would be cool to be able to scatter volumetrics, FumeFX sims, Phoenix Sims, Redshift OpenVDB helpers etc?

Thinking clouds, explosions, oil fires etc, rather than simulating a large grid - also be able to offset the animation

Thanks,

Steve

Redshift support?

Hi, I've been getting into Redshift for Max recently, the motion blur/DOF/Volumetrics speed is pretty impressive - it supports ForestPro, but Multiscatter supports animated distribution objects which is a plus for some work I do (medical animation) Is implementation of support for Redshift something...

2017 versions

Hi,

Is there a timeframe for recompiles of plugins for the 2017 version of 3DS Max?

Thanks,

VRay 3.2?

Hi,

Has anyone else had problems with the new VRay 3.2 release? (Max 2013, Windows 7)

I don't use Multiscatter that often, but noticed that it often seizes with 3.2, just wondered if it was a known issue?

Thanks,

Steve

Re: sticking multiscatter elements to animatet emitter

Any news on this?

I work on medical animations, and having an animated distribution surface would be really useful.

Thanks,

Steve

General wish

Hi, I've posted a couple of notes in the forum, but I think VFX artists (as opposed to Arch/Viz) would find a lot of value in Multiscatter if there were more support for animation. I've asked about particle support, and it looks like that is not on the cards, but I can think of a few functions which...

Possible bug/unwanted feature

Hi, I was rendering with animated proxies that change their bounding box size over the duration of the animation (a building collapsing) I noticed that it looks like the collision bounding box is evalutated for every frame of the animation, so they pop about if that is turned on. Is there any way to...
