Is it possible to scatter by volume of distribution object? I'm looking at ways of scattering bubbles inside a liquid (as one example) or to create clouds of bubbles/sprays. I can use Particle flow for now, but VRS is so much faster!
Thanks

Re: VrayScatter 2.5 Pre-Release and for 3dsmax 2010
Still having the same problem trying to install in Vista 64. It won't recognize the directory for 2010 Design and will not let me add it manually. Installs fine in 2008 and 2009 though. Also: with the latest builds of SP3 VRS crashes almost constantly with distributed rendering. Also not rendering t...

Re: render slaves crashing a lot
I am pretty sure the public release is SP3B. The one I had installed prior to two days ago was from the public d-load directory, the one I have installed now is a newer one, but I installed that after running into the crash problems.

render slaves crashing a lot
I'm trying out 2.5 with 2009 Design. I'm getting a lot of crashes on my render slaves (unhandled exception errors). It's intermittent, not every time, and different nodes crash at different times. Anyone else experiencing this? With the one scene I'm playing with it crashes all nodes, including my w...

Re: VrayScatter 2.5 Pre-Release and for 3dsmax 2010
I'm having trouble installing the render slave versions of 2.5 on my Vista 64 machines. The installer will not find the Max 2010 folder, and when I try to browse to find it the browse window does not show "my computer" it shows some kanji characters and will not work properly. I tried just...

Re: Ideas of using VrayScatter
You seemed to be answering about the question of defining areas - I get that totally, but does this mean that will not be possible to select and remove single instances here and there? This is a pretty big limitation as it means VrayScatter will be almost useless in a large range of potential images...

Re: Ideas of using VrayScatter
Actually I think it might be a problem. Controlling the exact level of the bottles so that they don't interpenetrate too much would be okay, but I had to do a lot of individual bottle tweaking and removing etc to get what was needed. With VrayScatter it's much of a take or leave it with the whole th...

Re: Options
+ 1 on most of those comments, but especially the ability to select and remove specific proxy instances. Without that I many of the uses I have for the plug in go out the window.
