Steering wheel option not appearing

I am using Madcar 3.3.11 with 3ds Max 2010 64x. I want to use a steering wheel to control the simulation but the option for the steering wheel does not appear in the list alongside mouse, keyboard, joystick and path follow. Is this a version issue? or a problem with the model of steering wheel?

If option "steering will" not appear with your device, you can select "joystik". It is working for some models of steering wheels.

I tried this and the steering wheel makes the Madcar wheels turn but the pedals don't do anything so the car does not drive.

we are planning to add more customisable control options in next versions
until then we can only suggest to try another steering wheel
