Hi,
I can not having the "Override Exclude" VRay material feature working with objects scattered with Multiscatter (VRay 2.40.04, MS 1.2.0.12).
Is it normal ? If yes, do you plan to add it for the next Multiscatter releases ?
Thank you,
Regards,

Re: Override Material Exclude not working
unfortunately this is not possible with the current engine
materials are assigned to MultiScatter during rendering (as actual objects being created during rendering)
but include/exclude table is operating with the objects which exist in the scene
this has got rare usage
but we will think about implementing this in future
Vray also has got global material override, not that advanced but works with MultiScatter

Re: Override Material Exclude not working
I am not sure we talk about the same thing: I am talking about VRay Global Override material function.
In my case, it does not work.

Re: Override Material Exclude not working
Great !
I find this feature particularly useful for doing clay renders with opacity mapped objects scattered with MultiScatter.
