Hi there,
I have a mesh plane that seems to cause a massive memory leak when trying to add a VRayScatter node to it. I've been able to crash Maya everytime, to reproduce the crash, just add VrayScatter to the only piece of geo in the scene.

Thanks for the report! Confirmed, working on this...
Re: Memory leak causing workstation to run out of memory
All I could say right now is that you could workaround this by retopologing your mesh.
Re: Memory leak causing workstation to run out of memory
Thank you, will do.
I had got this to scatter before (I know it's quite large area), but I was successfully able to test out and scatter 10 million objects on it. But since that test, I detached a few faces and combined them again. After this, and even with history deleted, is when the problem started to occur. I'm not sure if that is of any help to you when debugging this.
I also tried exporting the mesh to obj in an attempt to "clean" it, but as you see it still happens.
