Re: VrayScatter 2.5.7 new build available - Rendering Error

Post by mskroese »

Hi I'm new to the forum, I already emailed my problem to support@icube3d.com.

One of my two workstations already had got a very early version of Vray Scatter (bought January 2009). I wanted to try the latest release on my other workstation so I installed the latest Demo from the site. I created a simple scene, a plane and a few hundred distributed meshes on it (trees).

When rendering I got the message, which you can see on the screenshot. 3DS Max freezes afterwards and the only thing I can do is save it and restart 3DS Max.

Things I have tried so far:
- Rendering with different meshes resulted in the same problem.
- Rendering without a Vray Scatter, resulted in no error.
- Installing your first Demo which I found on my other workstation and making the same scene rendered just fine without any errors.

Does anyone has got the same problem or knows how to solve it?

I think that you are using scene with wrong units. Always better to use real size of objects. Scale from 0.43 to 0.1 - means that all objects are downscaled too much.
Vray is very sensitive to correct units and object sizes.
