Regular spline distribution 2

Hi,
We have no problem setting the VrayScatter parameters to make objects to follow spline with regular pattern or distance.
But the biggest problem happens to us when I start to modify spline, adding vertices, changing segments' lengths or adding new splines. All the objects start shifting along the whole shape.
Is it possible to make the objects (Vray proxies) stay in their position and modify only those which belong to the segment I am currently working on?
It is very important for us. We are working on the city visualization and all the street trees are the VrayScatter object along the shape. We already have 90% of animation rendered which took a lot of machine time. But if we need to fix some trees in specific areas that is to correct the shape, then all the trees in whole scene are being shifted and we have to rerender the whole animation again.
I will very appreciate if you suggest any decision for this problem (except for adding new VRayScatter objects).
