Multiscatter Cloning Bug

We have had a couple of scenes here where after a render the multiscatter object has cloned the proxies that it references many, many times.

For example I have about 20 or so proxies in a group, i have picked these proxies in the multiscatter object. Now when i have rendered, as well as scattering the proxies at render time as expected, this group has cloned itself 865 times within my scene!

Any ideas will be gratefully received.

...I've narrowed it down to when the proxies are within a group....

Sorry, but MultiScatter don't working with groups
