Re: Multiscatter License not found

hi anvar,
thanks for responding. strange it was working with the license we have now, it makes me think maybe i wasn`t running 1.3.6.11 after all ?
it`s probably more sensible just to update to the latest version now i think about it !
cheers

Multiscatter License not found

Hi,

We`re running Multiscatter 1.3.6.11 on 3dsmax2016 but today it says `License not found`. License tool says it expires in 2023 ? (we have 2 licenses)
We also run 1.085 on 2019 which seems to work fine.
I haven`t changed anything so has 1.3.6.11 expired or something ?

thanks

Re: New version: Development release

Hi Anvar,

Good to know it`s not just me, at least i`m not going crazy. Thanks for the manual tip, I`ll try that for now. Luckily it was only a small rerender of an old scene for and update so the headache is over for the time being.

thanks
Anthony

Re: New version: Development release

Hi Anvar, Sent via wetransfer. the MS object that`s visible is set to random pattern. Switch it to regular for the slow down then select the spline distributor and scale to 1% and it speeds up immensely. Scaling larger makes it worse again. I`m hoping it`s not just my system, I did test this in a br...

Re: New version: Development release

hi, sorry to bring this up again. i played a bit more with the stadium scene and i`ve narrowed down the issue to scattering type `regular pattern` . using this it`s extremely slow, switching to random distribution and it`s very fast . there is no equivalent slowdown using regular pattern on a surfac...

Re: New version: Development release

hi anvar, i`ve just tried the updated version and it is a lot quicker, not realtime, maybe 5-6 seconds for timeline to update. interestingly i tried loading the original `old` file and it`s about the same, around 5 seconds. however in the stripped down version of my scene (just the `MS FANS` , 1 fan...

Re: New version: Development release

hi anvar,

I`ll give downloading that a go.
As for the fans, as i mentioned it never used to be an issue, it just sort of crept in over time.
I`ll try new version first.

thanks

Re: New version: Development release

hi, as an addendum i`ve stripped the scene down to just 1 MS object with 1 proxy and moved the assets to local drive and it`s just as slow. I`ve also tested merging the proxy back in scene and just using the mesh and the timeline has sped up (although the animation has been removed by merging) so ma...
