What do you mean "mistake"? It´s definitely no mistake!

This free version did an amazing job in making icube3d.com public and popular! I think it would be a clever way to keep the concept of a free-lite-version with opportunity to upgrade.

Otherwise I think many many people will switch over to the CraftAnimations 4-wheeler-free - and if they need more features they will upgrade to the product they are familiar with!

MadCar - 200 euro - good physics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxF-4s5C76k
CraftAnimations - 600 euro - bad physics https://www.craftanimations.com/default/ ... dodge-ram/

Well, it´s not too bad:
https://www.deepartmend.de/de/projekte/p ... ended.html

But I agree, I like Mad Car´s physics more.

The point is, that they provide a free version. It´s limited in functionality, but it fits for most requirements - excepting heavy stunt-car-driving.

I also think that the craft tools are waaay too expensive:
E.g. 1 year annual subscription for the vehicle-suite only: 672 Euro.
For comparison: 1 year annual subscription for 3ds max: 525 Euro!!!
This is somewhat disproportional.

But at a point where I have a project with a good budget I purchase the plugins I need - and this depends on the projects requirements and on the plugins features.

If the budget is good enough I don´t care about 400 Euros. Much more important is the time I need to become familiar with software. Thanks to the free version I am familiar with the software and the concepts behind and it is integrated into my pipeline, so I will think twice about the effort to become familiar with another plugin.

So I really think it would be a wise decision to provide some candy for free to make the world addicted to my product. ;)

By the way: Here you can find my testing with Mad Car Free: https://www.deepartmend.de/de/playground.html

They provide 4 wheel version for free only because MadCar was free :)
More then two years everybody can test and use MadCar for free.
New version have many improvements and using is even simple then before.
