MS 1.97 Proxy animation preview not updating ?

Post by anthonyhicks » Wed Oct 23, 2019 7:38 pm

Hi,
Using MS 1.97 with 3dsmax 2019 and Vray 3.7 latest(not sure if vray version matters).

MultiScatter doesn`t update the preview in the viewport using an animated proxy using `points`. I`m using `points` and an animated vray proxy of a person (although an old proxy) but the preview in the viewport is static.
I tested this in the last latest MScatter version for 3dsmax2016 and it animates in the viewport as expected but not in 2019 with MS 1.97.
Is this expected ?

thanks

Hi,

yes I got the new version. Unfortunately there is no change that I can see. Preview is still static.
If I change any setting in the VrayProxy it will update in the viewport but only for that Proxy frame and then it`s static again while scrubbing the timeline.
I`ll send you a test file to see.

thanks
Anthony

this was caused by some work we did to speed up the viewport performance
currently this issue is partially fixed, if anyone need it, please email us for the latest builds
we will try to fix remaining issues soon
