Multiscatter and V-ray 2.30.01 support? (Solved)

Post by kingmax » Tue May 08, 2012 2:28 pm

I've just upgraded all my machines to the latest V-ray build 2.30.01 released on may 04,2012. and realized that multiscatter doesn't work.
When can we expect a new updated release of MS?

unfortunately due to significant changes in 3ds max SDK and VRay
it may take a while to relase update for latest vray and max 2013
we cannot tell about the time frame at the moment

And for max 2012? SDK is the same in Vray 2.3 and 2.2 so i guess there is no such problem

Yes. Vlado at V-ray forums said they haven't changed anything in the SDK between 2.2 and 2.3. and someone mentioned that multiscatter has a version check that is locked to V-ray 2.2. in the latest build.
I was hoping for a quick update for max 2012. I suppose not many people is using max 2013 since it came out only a few weeks ago.

Hope the same, i've already read it on ChaosGroup forum, 2013 is out for a month and there is only a couple of plugins that are released for it, could you just make an update for 2012 users who are X time a lot than 2013 user's please? I know that developpers love to release in one time everything (update, hotfixe and other) but we just need Multiscatter to work with the latest Vray build please!

thanks in advance!

Does anyone read this posts? I can't see any news/updates regarding this issue. I've just been contacted by a client to do a revision of a prior job that relays heavily on MS. Should I wait for the update or I need to roll back to an older v-ray version thus reinstalling and configuring it on dozens machines...?
