3DS MAX 2013

I'm running VRay in 3DSMAX 2013, and I'm trying to use multiscatter, but I can't. I'm using brute force, I have 12 Gb of ram, but my render times are weeks. I'm using ru i-trees with multiscatter. When I delete multiscatter my render times go back to a couple hours. The trees are proxies, too. I have the latest multiscatter, and vray, with the latest 3DS MAX. When I use multiscatter my render slaves fail, also. What can I do?

It is not enough information to solve your problem.

How many objects does scatter gererate in total?
How much memory does render take with scatter?

I have the same problem now.
Old installation - 3dsmax 2012, vray 2, vrayscatter
-distributed object with vrayscatter, object grass (cca 200poly) with translucent material, count 1.500.000, rendertime cca 15 minutes

New installation - 3dsmax 2013, vray 2.3, multiscatter
-distributed object with last multiscatter, the same setup as old installation, rendertime above 1hour.

Processor work on 100 percent and used memory cca 40 percent. (Intel i7-2600, ram 16gb)

Do you have version vrayscatter for 3dsmax 2013 and vray 2.3? I need rendernode only for rendering old presets of vrayscatter.

Are you sure it is the same geometry?
Can you show us final render for 15min and for 1hour?

yes, is the same geometry.

I have preset for grass with vrayscatter. I allways changed only geometry of terrain and border shapes. I used the same parameters with the same geometry for multiscatter in max2013.

It's typical scene with grass. I need a rendernode of vrayscater and max2013 for direct comparison in a concrete scene, max version and vray version. It can be "new feature" of vray 2.3. :)

error is elsewhere. I made a test in 3dsmax2012 + vray2.3 with vrayscatter and multiscatter and rendertime is long but similar. I dont understand. :(
