Reproducible fatal error

Hello again :)

I have found a fatal error when rendering VRayScatter and 3.1.0. Maya 2013x64 and V-Ray nightly.

Please see attached scene. All you have to do is first relink the vrmesh and instance it once to cause a crash.

Delete the instance and it'll render OK.

(PS another crash in the scene, turn on Pattern1. First time I ran out of memory on a 16gb workstation, 2nd time Maya.exe crashed).

Sorry, can't reproduce this. I've changed the paths in files and it renders fine. The only thing I've to add is VRayMtl to the proxy.

Hi bdancer, if you make an instance of "lomandraLongifolia:grassClump1Main_proxy" does it still render ok for you? That is when the crash happens for me.

The scene will render ok as long as there is no instance present.
