Using the default sample scene (https://docs.icube3d.com/en:vraypattern-maya).
I noticed odd behaviour. The shading with VRayPattern seems to render quite strange.
The only changes I made to the default scene is that I made the plane larger 14mx14m and added sun + sky.
Here's a render with GI and Sun + Sky.
On the left is VRayPattern, the right is instanced geometery of the same ball. Obviously the one on the right is the expected result.
To double check, I turned off GI, but the strange shading still persists.
I have also checked bounding box, normals, transforms and uv's. Not sure what's going on if it's my fault.
I'm using
[2013/Mar/25|19:42:49] V-Ray: V-Ray for Maya version 2.25.01, revision 22828 from Mar 23 2013, 02:14:57
[2013/Mar/25|19:42:49] V-Ray: V-Ray core version is 2.00.02
Maya 2013x64 W7x64.
